Zone Alarm and Norton Internet Security
Please note that if you are currently logged into ELITE, and have been directed to this page, then there is most likely a conflict with the firewall you're using. There are known issues with Zone Alarm and Norton Internet Security. Please follow the instructions below, to configure your firewall in order for the Tutorials to run from within ELITE.
Norton Internet Security 2003/2004
- Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
- Do one of the following.
* In NIS/NPF 2003, click Options > Internet Security or Personal Firewall (This step is not always needed), and then click the Web Content tab.
* In NIS/NPF 2004, double-click Privacy Control, and then click Advanced.
- Click Add Site. A new site/domain box appears.
- Enter elite.lawcol.com and click OK. The site name now appears in the left frame of the Advanced Options window.
- Click the name of the new site.
- Click the Global Settings tab.
- In the "Information about visited sites" section, clear "Use default settings".
- Click Permit.
- Repeat Steps 3-8, this time using media.lawcol.com, in step (4).
- Click OK to close the Options window.
Norton Internet Security 2002 (or earlier)
- Open NIS or NPF.
- Click Options.
- Click Internet Security or Personal Firewall. (This step is not always needed.) The Options window appears.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Click the Web tab.
- Click Add Site. A new site/domain box appears.
- Enter elite.lawcol.com and click OK. The site name now appears in the left frame of the Advanced Options window.
- Click the name of the new site.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Check the "Use these rules for..." box.
- Change the Referrer from "Block" to "Permit".
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
- Repeat steps 6-12, this time using media.lawcol.com, in step (7).
- Click OK to close the Options window.
Zone Alarm Pro
- Click Privacy.
- Click Cookie Control.
- Click Custom.
- Uncheck "remove private header information".
- You may have to also 'allow third party cookies'.
